Each session is Holy Spirit-led and uniquely guided by your needs and the type of service you are receiving. You may experience somatic regulation tools, Holy Spirit-led prayer or prophetic encounter, inner healing and deliverance ministry, or wellness coaching— all sessions are always anchored in biblical truth and gentle, trauma-informed care.
-
Somatic trauma healing focuses on how trauma is stored in the body and how it affects the nervous system. Through gentle, resiliency techniques, body-based tools, and Holy Spirit-led practices, clients learn to help regulate their stress response, release tension, and experience greater emotional and spiritual peace.
-
Lasting healing takes time, safety, and intentionality. The 10-session structure is designed to support deep, progressive transformation through a trauma-informed and Spirit-led process. Each session builds upon the last, allowing space to gently uncover, process, and heal wounds without rushing or retraumatizing. This format also allows time for regulation, integration, and Holy Spirit-led restoration in a way that honors your story and your body’s pace. While every person’s journey is unique, we’ve found that the 10 session framework creates room for God to do a deep work, offering space for breakthrough, emotional safety, and lasting, sustainable change.

Functional health coaching takes a whole-person approach to wellness, exploring how lifestyle factors like nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and mindset impact your physical and emotional health and wellbeing. At River & Refuge, this coaching is offered in an educational, non-clinical capacity and is grounded in both evidence-based wellness principles and biblical truth. Sessions may include personalized strategies and education, practical guidance, and faith-based support to help you steward your body, promote long-term wellness, and experience lasting transformation—spirit, soul, and body. Coaching does not include diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice and is not a replacement for licensed healthcare.
-
No. Lab testing and supplements are not required to benefit from functional health coaching. At River & Refuge Wellness Co., we utilize foundational, evidence-based, and faith-based wellness strategies, such as stress support, nutrition education, movement, sleep hygiene, and spiritual alignment, personalized to support your healing and lifestyle goals.
Clients however, may choose to explore optional, client-directed lab testing through third-party providers. Any results shared with Amanda Atkinson or River & Refuge Wellness Co. are reviewed/used solely for educational and informational purposes and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or manage any condition. Clients are encouraged to consult with their licensed medical or mental health provider for clinical interpretation and follow-up care.
